Independence Day!

We had a wonderful 4th of July in Kanab. The weather was perfect! Rylee loved the parade and playing at the park. It was wonderful to spend time with friends and all the family. I think the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. The summertime fun with family and friends is awesome and I am so thankful for this wonderful country we live in and for all those who sacrifice so much to insure those freedoms. God bless the USA!

This little rainbow bridge was Rylee's favorite. The first couple times about gave me a heart attack. She mastered it quickly though. After the afternoon celebration, all the family went back to the house for games and a nap. My Dad took Cody and I for a 4wheeler ride out to Peek-A-Boo Canyon. It was a beautiful ride. I loved all the yellow weedy flowers that covered the sand dunes. Beautiful. We had a great time and the overcast skies were perfect for the occasion. Thanks Dad!

Rylee loved the fireworks. She was really into them and kept saying "Boom!" every time they went off. This is the funnest age!

Kanab really did a great 4th of July celebration. We had a great time. After the city's fireworks some of my cousins and us lit off our own fireworks. It was a lot of fun!

Early Saturday morning we woke up and drove up to Heritage Acres- our family's property on Cedar Mountain, for our big extended family family reunion. We had a great time. It was great to catch up with those we don't see very often, and the weather once again was perfect. We got some great games of Rook in, 4-wheeler rides, and just lots of fun.

Today is my little brother, Sam's 19th Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!! He enters the MTC on Aug. 6. He will be serving an LDS mission in Rochester New York!

One other item, this Saturday- July 12th we are having a birthday party for Rylee at the Pine View Park from 3-5. Anyone who would like to come out for some fun games and cake, we would love to have you! There is a splash pad, so be sure to bring your kids' swimsuits.

Kanab's 4th of July celebrations are seriously the best! I miss them. When Ky is a little older I will drive to Kanab, even though I dont have family there, for the 4th. Happy birthday Rylee (on the 9th)!
